Decoding Samaadhaan Business Solutions

The founder and the professionals who conceptualized SAMAADHAAN have come together with two basic thoughts:

  • A deep respect for Entrepreneurs
  • Support Startups to become successful enterprises to create employment

The Startup ecosystem began in India in early 2000 and started slowly expanding, but in 2016 with the “Startup India” initiative by GOI, there was a mega upsurge in the country which led to a rise of startups from mere 500 to almost 159,000 by 2024.

India became a home for over 100 unicorns within 5 years of their business initiation and many more in the making. Currently, India is the 3rd largest startup ecosystem in the world.

But the story isn’t so glamorous for most of them. SAMAADHAAN realized that though there are many success stories being heard, the majority of startups struggle to even reach breakeven or scale-up. The reasons can be many, but the following are the most predominant:

  • Initiation of startup based on emotional background rather than real market gap or requirement
  • Selection of partners based on short-term plans
  • Incorrect or low-potential product selection
  • Weak or no strategy on how to utilize resources, especially finance and manpower
  • Not understanding the difference between Sales vs. Business
  • After initial success and getting investments for expansion, financial mismanagement leading to a cash trap and legal complications
  • Panic decisions instead of systematic and planned initiatives to streamline or revive the business

As a professional and an entrepreneur, myself, who launched businesses in India and passed through challenges and struggles not only in the initial phase but more importantly while scaling-up, I decided to pool the whole experience and possible resources so that we as a team can support, guide and mentor these future unicorn owners to achieve their dreams at the earliest.
